Alumni Reception in Korea
On September 4, 2009 Chancellor hosted UH Hilo’s first ever alumni reception in Seoul, Korea at the Lotte Hotel.
Turn out for this evening reception was better than expected with more than 60 attendees, comprised of both graduates of UH Hilo and former exchange students from Korea. Accompanied by Chancellor’s husband, Ray Tseng and Senior Director of Development at UH Hilo, Margaret Shiba, Chancellor delivered a short presentation and video on the growth of UH Hilo. This event was met with great enthusiasm and allowed all former students a chance to walk down memory lane and reminisce those wonderful days of their stay in Hawaii at UH Hilo. Memories that all of them said will be cherished forever.
