Fun Facts:
I’m an evolutionary biologist with the good fortune of living and working in an evolutionary hotspot. I hope that our PRISM Program will serve to demystify science and scientists for school children on Hawai`i Island and awaken their passion for understanding the natural world around them.
Jan Zulich
Education History:

Research Interest:
Recruitment, preparing, and retaining highly qualified teachers. Currently, I am studying professional dispositions as necessary elements of effective teaching.

Fun Facts:
I have a fantastic and closely-knit family: my husband is a rogue elementary school librarian, and my two adult children hold positions catering to tourists on O`ahu and Maui. We recently completed our new house on 3 acres in Paukaa, where our dog and three cats run freely through our “chocolate farm.” I paddle canoe with a 6:00am crew named “Imminent Danger, enjoy watching pro football, and can’t wait to use my new stained-glass workshop. Life is good.
