Upward Bound students come from all over the state of Hawaii. On the Big Island, Upward Bound serves Ka'u, Kea'au, Kohala, Laupahoehoe, Hilo, Waiakea, Honoka'a, and, Pahoa high schools. In addition to these Big Island schools, Upward Bound Math/Science participants also come from Lanai and Maui.
