Classic Junior Oahu College Tour
Every year the Upward Bound juniors travel to Oahu for a three-day look at colleges on that island. This past spring, 26 students traveled with three chaperones to Oahu.
We visited UH Manoa, Chaminade University, Kapi'olani Community College, Hawaii Pacific University, and Heald College. We toured the campuses, visited classrooms, took a peek into a dorm, heard from students, and learned about programs and opportunities unique to each campus.
We also took in a UH Manoa dance performance ("You can major in this??") and a Rainbow Wahine basketball game. And just for fun, we went to Ala Moana Center and the swap meet at Aloha Stadium.
