What is CPSA?
Upward Bound conducts College Preparatory Saturday Academies one Saturday per month. During CPSA students have a chance to interact with fellow UBers and staff members on the University of Hawaii at Hilo campus. Saturday Academies consist of academic sessions, guest speakers, workshops, college prep sessions, and many other experiences that enable students in being successful in their post-secondary studies.
Saturday Academy not only aims to provide you with all the necessary tools for academic survival on a college campus, but also promotes fun interactions with fellow UB members and college students. Experiments, games, and excursions also are included during the Saturday session. Although our students come from schools around the island, having the chance to bond with one another, while keeping an eye on the goal of college success, aids in creating a tight-knit UB family.
