Job Requirements
The following is a list of requirements a students must fulfil in order to be eligible for the tutoring job at the UHH Math Tutoring Lab.
- Completed at least Math 206 (Integral Calculus) or equivalent
- Able to teach/tutor mathematical concepts and present them in a understandable manner to students
- Registering for one credit TA/Tutoring math course (Math 496) during each semester of tutoring
- Experience in tutoring or teaching math desirable
- Proficient in the English language
- Comfortable approaching people and dealing with crowded rooms
- Able to work with computers; proficient in MathCad, MiniTab, Microsoft Word and Excel desirable
Application Process
- Visit the SECE online system to search for a job opening.
- Fill out and print a referral form for the job you are interested in.
- Bring completed referral form to Math Lab Supervisor.
- Schedule interview with Math Lab supervisor.
- Bring completed referral form, resume, class schedule to Math Tutoring Supervisor to interview.
