Academic attire will consist of a cap, gown, and tassel, and for M.A. Candidates, a master’s hood.  Enclosed with this letter is a mailing from the UHH Bookstore, providing you with information about ordering your regalia. Please wear footwear that is appropriate for such an important occasion.

RE: COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION

UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT HILO STUDENTS:
Commencement is scheduled for Saturday, December 15, 2007. The commencement exercise will begin at 9:00 am (check-in begins at 7:30 am) at the UHH NEW Gymnasium. Rehearsal is on Friday, Dec. 15, 2007 at the New Gym from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

GOLD HONOR CORDS:
Students achieving a cumulative 3.5 GPA will be mailed a letter indicating that you can purchase your cord at the Bookstore for $9.95. Honors Cords are to be worn during commencement. The Record's Office will determine the candidates. Please bring your Honors letter when you purchase your cord at the Bookstore.

CAP AND GOWN:
Beginning Nov. 13, 2007 and running through Dec. 14, 2007, the Bookstore will be selling Caps & Gowns. Caps & Gowns will be in-stock and available for purchase.
Our store hours are 8:00 am - 3:30 pm Mon.-Fri.

Cap, gown and tassel $26.00
Tassel only $4.50

If you are a large (over 250 lbs) or tall (over 6'6") person, please place a Custom Cap & Gown order at the Bookstore during Oct.2-13, 2006.

CLASS RINGS:

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Bookstore will be printing the announcements starting Nov. 5, 2007 thru Dec. 8, 2006.

Estimated price is $1.35 each.
MINIMUM ORDERS AND RE-ORDERS WILL BE 25
