Character Acting
According to Constantin Stanislavski “the only real actor is the character actor”.
His method of acting has been used by many actors to hone their craft. In this
hands-on class, Luke Koehn, a longtime UH Hilo actor/writer/director, will be showing students how to develop characters for theatre using Stanislavski’s method. With an emphasis on the development of pure characterization, students should be able to create new mannerisms, voice and physicality that will result in several new and individual characters. Come with an open mind, a desire for fun and a willingness to push your boundaries.
