Current Openings:

Three (3) Assistant Professors of Psychology, position numbers 73362, 73363, and 82933 tenure-track, College of Arts and Sciences; general funds; full-time, nine-month appointment; to begin approximately August 2009.

Duties: Teach graduate courses in our MA program in counseling psychology and undergraduate courses in our BA psychology program; conduct scholarly research; participate in university service; provide graduate student mentoring and thesis advising; provide undergraduate student advising.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree in counseling psychology, clinical psychology, school psychology, human development, or closely related area from an accredited college or university; evidence of research productivity or clear potential for developing a strong program of research; evidence of teaching effectiveness.

Desirable Qualifications: Documented excellence in teaching one or more of the following courses: abnormal psychology, developmental psychology, psychology of personality, child psychopathology and treatment, statistics, and research methods; eligible for licensure as a psychologist, mental health counselor, or marriage and family therapist in the state of Hawaii; experience working in a multi-cultural setting; a child/adolescent specialty is desired for at least one of the positions, field of specialization is open for the other two positions.

Salary: Commensurate with training and experience.
